Not watching the game on account of Lost, but Pech's per-40 numbers are actually pretty good

17 points, 10 rebounds, a respectable true shooting percentage, and his PER is a little over 15. It’s the sole reason I still cling to my absurd belief that he’s not as bad as he looks.

If Ernie can move some of our “assets” (expiring contracts, young talent) for a veteran…..

Perhaps there will be roster room for both the 1st and 2nd round picks…

Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......

by Rook6980 on Apr 15, 2009 8:47 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I'd like to give Ernie the chance to pick up a Chalmers type in the early first round

That guy was such a steal, even though I see him solely as a role player/complimentary type. A fast point guard who can guard the Rondos and Tony Parkers of the league while moving the ball and hitting the occasional three is my dream scenario. Failing that, the 32nd or 33rd pick is a pretty nice sweetener in a deal, especially with a team like, say, Toronto that’s fond of Euros.

I'm still looking forward to Thunder-Clippers

Not just because of the obvious lottery implications, but I also just like seeing them play, since the Thunder are fun to watch and I always need to see the Clippers play to believe they’re as bad as they are.

I'll admit my expectations for him were raised

with him being a key component to Maryland’s championship win and all. I knew he’d have problems being an undersized SG, but in all his time in the League, I haven’t seen much growth (in terms of trying to be more of a combo guard).

Bullets Forever is actually updated almost every day during the summer

Sometimes it’s just to do a retrospective on Moses Malone or someone named Hot Plate, but there’s a pretty steady stream of new content, which is pretty nice when no one else is writing about the Wizards.

Their entire line up has been healthy for a while, too

We suck, too, but at least we’ve been missing 2.5 starters and a handful of key reserves for most of the season. I hate piling on a team that’s so far down, but they really need to just burn it down and start over again. Not just the players, or even the management, or even the owners; they need a new name, new colors, and maybe even a new city (I only say maybe because it’s so profitable for them to play in LA).
