Radio appearance
So I just learned about this, but I'm going to be on Shan Shariff's ESPN 1240 Delmarva show at 5:20 today talking about the Flip Saunders hire.
I can't find a listen live button, but I'll try to get a copy of the interview afterwards. EDIT: Click here.
If you're in the area, tune in.

We've got the Delmarva market on lock!
Nice stuff Mike.

Couldn’t listen, the link didn’t work for me. Hope it went well.
As a consolation prize, I’m watching Bullets vs. Bulls game 3 in 1997, the final Bullets game ever.
I have a DVD of it.
I saved a VHS back in the day and recently converted a bunch of stuff to DVD.

Ah, ok
I have that game as well. Downloaded it.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Great start, esp for Howard
Great to see Strickland burn Jordan repeatedly. But the refs made sure that didn’t stick.

Awesome job
Was that your first radio interview for Bullets Forever? That was a solid job in about an 18-minute interview. I really enjoyed the discussion of the differences between Saunders and Johnson — a lot of info packed into that discussion.
Don’t hate on yourself for being “just a blogger” though. In some ways, it’s a lot more interesting to hear from people who aren’t echoing the same sentiments of league employees, front office members, etc. Look at what Mike Florio is doing at ProFootballTalk — he’s probably interviewed daily.
But anyway, congrats.
I remember saying that in the context of a question about Arenas' off-court activities
But I might be wrong.

You did
Just saying, I guess. I didn’t know if you meant that on more than one level. It’s all good.
No, the advice is much appreciated

Yeah
It was great, actually. He asked good questions, and you answered them very well. I’m glad there’s a voice out there supporting Flip!
I thought the conversation around Blake Griffin was interesting. Shan was convinced that Blake Griffin was our only saving grace to having a chance for contention. You make a great point that he might not make that great of an impact his first year. I think it’s safe to say, he’ll become a solid 20-10 PF, or even an all-star one day, depending upon different factors. But, how great of an impact will be felt those first two years? He does seem to accentuate our strengths and weaknesses, making the net effect smaller than would be expected.
That's great Mike
Just don’t pull an “Ivan Carter” on us.
