The deal is official, according to Yahoo Sports
Flip is getting a 4 year, $18 million deal according to Adrian Wojnarowski. He also says that the "framework of an agreement has been in place since the All-Star break."

I think that this gives Flip a fresh start
This season was going to be tough no matter who coached us, and Flip avoids the worst effects of it by starting next year.

This comment confuses me...
Why would you want Avery, if Flip is better?
I think this is a good day for the Wizards organization. I’m pumped for next season.
Prada sold me on Flip
Great pick Mr. Grunfeld, and way to be on the ball, having the framework of the deal with Flip in place since February.
Thanks for the great posts Prada

Best part is that it appears Grunfeld got the jump on the other teams
by essentially having the deal in place since the All-Star break.
Saunders didn’t have to sign this quick – he could just wait and see if a better offer comes along….
But it appears that Ernie was quick to see the potential to lose Flip, and essentially froze out all the competition by getting to him early.
