Go Raptors!

C’mon guys. I know being the bottom #1 isn’t feasible (though the Kings could win tonight), but let’s at least get #2.

You can bet your ass I’m cheering for them to lose tonight, which I bet they will.

I wonder who's going to guard Bargnani and who's going to guard Bosh

It’ll be nice to see Toronto up close, too, since they never seem to be on national tv.

Jamison on Bosh

Haywood on Bargnani…..

got to be that way…. Bosh is too mobile for Haywood…

Que pasa?

Shawn Marion still looks weird to me wearing a Raps uni.

Jamison with the fancy scoop shot and one

Maybe, just maybe both these teams will get over 80 tonight.

Butler behind the back!

Haven’t seen that one in a while.

Yeah

I have to say that the start has been kind of surprising. Maybe if they played in Canada more often this wouldn’t be a problem.

I'm probably just being facetious here

But I think Pops is a better fit for Toronto than Jermaine O’ Neal was.

Very nice pass by McGuire

Subtle, but very nice.

Think Haywood has most of his wind back?

by bronco6778 on Apr 10, 2009 10:02 PM EDT reply actions

That would be a safe assumption

If he doesn’t, I’m very excited for next year.

Kapono is good at shooting 3's

That’s all he can do. Keep him from doing that.

by Jake Whitacre on Apr 10, 2009 10:04 PM EDT reply actions

I have no idea why he doesn't take more

As a percentage of his shots, they’re actually pretty low, so even though he shoots like 43% or something on 3’s, his ts% is only at 50%

by pantslessyoda1 on Apr 10, 2009 10:08 PM EDT up reply actions

Further proof positive. Like it’s Washington’s fault.

by bronco6778 on Apr 10, 2009 10:19 PM EDT up reply actions

I can't speak for the first half, since I didn't get a chance to see it

But Bargnani has looked really, really bad this half.

Yeah

It’s such a shame, I really like the guy. I’m not really sure why, but I always root for him. I think some of it could be that Haywood’s just that tough to shoot over.

That was a curious call. Either it’s a foul, or it’s out on Butler.

Great execution by Haywood

by bronco6778 on Apr 10, 2009 10:15 PM EDT reply actions

Yea....remember how we thought the East was going to be "better"

because Jermaine O’Neal went to Toronto and Elton Brand went to Philly, and us Wizards were supposed to be somebody….?

Well, at least that’s what I thought.

someone explain to me

Why Nick Young got like a minute burn in the 2nd half. Juan Dixon 12?

by zeke5123 on Apr 10, 2009 10:20 PM EDT reply actions

Yeah, the Burrito was hot tonight

Also, has Javale played at all tonight? Is he in the doghouse or something?

by pantslessyoda1 on Apr 10, 2009 10:23 PM EDT up reply actions

Dixon made up for it

Although he also had some slips. Then again, when you see your teammate trapped, you need to get closer than halfcourt. Jamison.

Anyway, here is my take on tonight’s dagger :)

Wow

That’s certainly a dagger.

My best game plan is to sit on the bench and call out specific instructions like 'C'mon Boog,' 'Get ahold of one, Frank,' or 'Let's go, Brooks.' -Earl Weaver

That's unfortunate

I’ve liked the Knicks this year in spite of them having NO ONE on that team worth watching, but I’d liked to have seen Orlando get the second seed. If I had to choose one of the big four teams to win the title this year, it’d be Orlando, even if just to spite Kobe and Lebron.

by pantslessyoda1 on Apr 10, 2009 10:34 PM EDT up reply actions

Damn you Caron

Why couldn’t freakin’ Marion play better defense… You knew he was gonna do that!

I’m mad… Now I’m hoping the Clippers win.

by se7en on Apr 10, 2009 10:56 PM EDT reply actions

It's no use

Hoping for losses won’t bring us any good draft karma.

Just let fate take its course and give us the 4th pick.

by Kyle Weidie on Apr 10, 2009 11:02 PM EDT up reply actions

Hmmm

I’d rather go by the odds than by karma. In the long run, losing this game gives us a higher draft probability, and winning does absolutely nothing, other than give Caron an hour of good feelings.

Luckily, the Clippers won, and they only have one other game they can win: OKC. We have one game we can win as well, which happens to be the one Gil is playing in. They need to lose out to get the 2nd worst record, which places us in a much better probability of getting the #1 pick.

You can’t possibly tell me that you’d rather win this game, than to increase our chances of getting Griffin? And your reasoning is karma?

by se7en on Apr 11, 2009 1:56 AM EDT up reply actions

What a game!

Caron’s dagger reminded me so much of the Feb 8th game against the Pacers. The Phone Booth wasn’t anywhere near capacity, but the place when bananas when Juice hit that shot. Moments of beauty in an otherwise depressing season.
