DerMarr Johnson "vs" Taj McCullough
Deep apologies for essentially linking to myself, but I've started contributing a little bit for the NBDL blog Ridiculous Upside and wrote up some notes from the Austin-Fort Wayne game last night. I thought I'd post it here in case anyone's interested in the current whereabouts of preseason Wizards DerMarr Johnson and Taj McCullough.

Great stuff
I have to say that I was surprised to see Taj McCullough took 18 shots in a game. He didn’t seem like a guy that would ever do that, but then again it’s not like he ever had a chance to be the focal point of an offense either.

Yeah, a couple reasons as far as I could see
First, there were a lot of possessions and the game went into overtime. Second, their PG does a lot of driving underneath the basket and kicking out to shooters, and McCullough never really strayed far from the perimeter. Third, Fort Wayne as a team seems to rely on their PG first, and maybe two or three other people total. So there aren’t a ton of other options on the team.
But yeah, most of my hazy preseason memories of McCullough involve hustling and not shooting.
