I don't want to promise anything, I'm not even ready to think about that right now. The way I look at it: I rushed back twice and got hurt again twice so this time, I'm going to take my time and make sure. I came back quick twice and it didn't work for me or the team. I'm just going to keep practicing on it, make sure it's all the way right and then go from there.
Gilbert Arenas on when/if we'll see him playing again this year. There's more on today's practice over at the Bog.

Yes. Yes it is.
The Washington Wizards: providing career scoring nights for unknown opposing bench players since 2004.
interesting
Since the all-star break he’s had the team & coaches cover for him as he practices with to keep expectations among fans low in case he decides not to return this season. By him outting himself to the Post does that mean it’s pretty certain that he’s gonna return?

Can Gilbert carry some of the young fellas out of the doghouse?
Gil has been playing 1-on-1 with Nick Young most of the season, and its well documented that the two have a close bond (both flashy players from Cali) and Young’s basically Arenas’s protege. Given that Tapscott is the INTERIM coach and Arenas is the only all-NBA player the Wizards have had this decade, does Arenas have the clout to pull Young and any other favorites among McGee Critt or Pech out of the doghouse and into stable roles for the remainder of the 2008-2009 season?

Keep in mind
that Arenas swayed the team to give D-Steve 4 years 15 million instead of bringing over Navarro from Spain, so he’s something of a miracle worker

I Would Like Him to Perform Another Miracle
In that regard, I would like to see Arenas make D-Steve the player he used to be. I’m still holding out hope that that can happen.
