Dominic McGuire has Plantar Fasciitis?
Steve Buckhantz, on the telecast against the Spurs, said McGuire has been playing with plantar fasciitis in his left heel "for sometime now"......does this concern anyone?

I'll wait until I see it in print somewhere
If it’s true, yeah, I’m a bit concerned.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
What is it with this team and injuries?
I’m not talking about getting them, I’m talking about covering them up. First we had “oh by the way, DeShawn Stevenson has an issue with a nerve in his back that might affect him the rest of his career,” and now this.
As Prada said, I’d like to see confirmation somewhere, but plantar fasciitis is something that sticks with you.
14 points, 14 rebounds, 3 blocks last night
It doesn’t seem to be hurting his game much………

Except
Many players can put up big performances while playing through pain. That doesn’t mean that the pain is not there, or that it won’t bother the player further down the road.
DeShawn Stevenson’s best game last season, a heroic performance against the Hornets in New Orleans, occurred while he was battling lower-back pain. One might assume that the pain has deteriorated his game since that peak a year ago.
"It's OK for the Bullets to trade baskets, as long as they can score on their end." -- Words of wisdom from Phil Chenier
It's painful but not necessarily inhibiting
Plantar Fasciitis isn’t uncommon among basketball players, and just looking around the internet I found stories linking it to Tim Duncan, Shaq, Kobe, Rashard Lewis, Pau Gasol, Doug Christie, Andres Nocioni, Chris Bosh, LaMarcus Aldridge, Jason Kidd, John Starks and, ahem, Mark Price.
It’s generally treatable with orthotics and stretching, among other things, but what’s minor-ly troubling about it is that almost all of those players had to miss time periodically because of it, sometimes 2-4 weeks, and in some cases (like Starks, Kidd and Christie) needed surgery.
Wow, I didn't know it was so widespread
Dominic’s still young, though, so even if god forbid it does come down to surgery, I’d think that he’d be able to recover fairly quickly. It can’t be that bad, too, if he hasn’t missed any time because of it.
