You better make a career Nick Young, or…I will never get over letting Roger go

I will start it off by saying . . .

that I would like to see a standing ovation when Roger Mason’s name is announced tonight. He is terrific and you have to hand it to the Spurs, they tried to get him last year and he took the deal here, but they got there man and what an addition he has been. It’s too bad that I hate the Spurs or I would completely pleased at the situation.

I doubt it will happen-

though I would gladly stand for him. It’s hard to know what the crowd will do – they usually boo former players but those are players like Jared and Jarvis to who knows. I just hope we don’t lose by 30.

he's going to get a healthy applause

i’m sure of it. people loved him here. not quite like dixon or blake, but the same idea.

He did get a lot of applause

which is nice. There were a ton of spurs fans in attendance. Having never seen the spurs play here before – I had no idea they had such a following here. I think I was the only person in my section cheering for the wiz. I ended up listening to my ipod while watching the game to drown out the annoying fans behind me.

We didn't have anyone that could guard Devin Harris yesterday either....

The key is to keep Finley, Mason, Bonner and the other guys from killing us from beyond the arc…

Let Duncan and Parker get theirs…. shut down everyone else.

Unfortunately - it looks like Tapscott's scheme is different

so far, the Wizards look like they’re helping on Duncan, and trying to help James with Parker…. That’s leaving Finley, Bonner and Bowen open for shots.

Let Songaila or Blatche play Duncan one-on-one

Have James (or Crittenton) play off Parker, and dare him to shoot from outside… just play off him, and take away the drive. DON’T HELP on either one of those guys.

Everyone else stick with their man – don’t allow any wide open 3’s

That would be nice

but I doubt they’ll do that, especially when Songaila is on him.

Nice block

I wish McGee and Blatche would go up stronger.

I believe that is the same number as the BFers watching this game live.

Well

ONE day after I praised the Wizards perimeter defense – they’ve gone back to the Tapscott/Ayres scheme of ignoring 3-point shooters.
Even if they’re scalding hot (like Roger Mason)
Even if they know the player is a good shooter
Even when they’re playing pretty good individual one-on-one defense inside
Even when the Spurs have 33 points on eleven 3-point shots so far…
