James wants to play but he is unsure if that opportunity is going to come with the Wizards, who acquired him and Crittenton in a three-deal deal with Memphis and New Orleans last Dec. 10. James is earning $6.5 million this season in the last year of his contract and multiple league sources have confirmed that he was very available last summer. He's an expiring contract, so he has good value there

I’m surprised that the Wizards aren’t planning to let him expire to get cap relief for next year. This is a great sign for us fans.
