1. I hate Bosch, he looks like an oversized human taradactyle.
2. I knew the game was over when Caron shot a contested 3 and missed in the fourth w/o looking for ball movement options or driving.
3. Im glad this Boykins hype is over. If we gave Arenas the ball in the fourth we would have won the game. Boykins is good in the fourth but hes not Arenas and hes not scoring 33+ points either.
4. I wish Arenas shot the three and didnt drive.
5. A few calls I disagreed with that hurt us in the end. A particular one was the Bosch stop by Jamison that clearly was a jump ball. A few foul calls I disagreed with especially the Taser one on Turkajew. Definitly no more contact than Arenas got when getting mauled in the lane on a drive with no call.
i duno what to say. Great game. I am just glad Wizards are having such great games like this.
I don't think the last one was a mistake.
too bad he’s Turkish and not Jewish you idiot

Heck, toss in "Pteradactyl"
"It has come to the editor’s attention that the Herald-Leader neglected to cover the civil rights movement. We regret the omission."
Ironic
Hedo hit a shot he definitely should of missed and Arenas missed a shot he definitely should of made. Next time.
Hey idiot I kind of spelled it like that on purpose Turkajew. Its a joke do you even know where he is from, what his donomination is, your not smart to hink of that right?
And as far as “Bosch’s” name I could careless. Has nothing to do with the post so keep your mouth closed next time and keep it relevant.
I think you are about 10 seconds away from a site ban

No public calling for banning
If you have a problem with a poster, e-mail me.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
That was just one
to many defensive liabilities out there in our closing line up. Gil or Boykins but not both.
yeah as they stayed out there Toronto just started exploiting them

plus thats really a change of pace line-up
When we have 4 inconsistent to bad defenders out there at a time we are gonna stuggle. But when they seemingly play like 18 minutes straight at the end of the game it’s gonna be bad.

Flip pretty much backed himself into a corner
After playing them for the over half the fourth and the entire OT anybody he brought on would have been ice cold. I was really curious as to what his 2nd OT line up would have been alas someone ice cold off the bench screwed that up for us.
Gil's getting his shooting rhythm back, though
If the other big two hit a slightly better percentage, this is a W.
If we didnt think Early Boykins was Kobe Bryant and gave it to Arenas we would have won. Also the contested jumper in OT by Caron hurt. Also Boykins ignored Young to much.
Gil got the ball almost exclusively to close the game...
At least it seemed that way to me. I remember noticing Boykins standing on the perimeter.
Bosh had a Superstar night
Gil was really close to one too, and that excites me. I won’t say he had one cause he had that crucial TO in OT and is still missing some of the explosion and handle when driving.
I thought Haywood and Twan played solid defense on Bosh, contesting well, but he wasn’t going to be denied. He’s a hell of a player.
What bothered me is that it seemed like we had absolutely no post-up game tonight. I don’t know if it was Toronto doing a good job staying in the passing lanes so we couldn’t drop it in or what. They also defended the pick and roll really well, too often it was Gil or Boykins coming off a screen with nowhere to go. Gotta shoot better, esp. Twan, but when you can’t score in the paint your FG% is gonna look like that.
Who scores in the paint for this team?
Haywood isn’t s trong post move player and they never pass it to him and Twan and Blatche shoot jumpers. McGee dunks. Bosh is just a stud. If he can ever stay healthy for an entire season he will move into a top-5 guy iin the league discussion IMO. He also is a pretty good FT shooter allwoing him to stay in at the end of games.

Good point.
We definitely don’t have a go-to, but if you can get Twan the ball down there on his own, he’ll score in his unorthodox way. Blatche and Caron have the ability to drive, but it seems like they don’t trust themselves. I wish Caron didn’t feel the need to pump fake just to give his defender to the extra second to close; thats silly.
This is a team that gave up 140 points a couple nights ago...
Shouldn’t these posts be more negative?

And ATL lost to Knicks tonight!
But don’t think anyone expected Toronto to roll over, and it was encouraging to see the Wiz battle back. Gil hitting big shots was fun, too.
believe it or not
im not even mad they lost, they played hard in the 4th
The OT loss was painful, but...
it was really encouraging to see Gilbert looking like Gilbert of old. He seemed really fired up.
dude
who do you think took and missed the last shot? I’ll give you a hint: his nickname rhymes with “Agent Nero.”
Fairly predictable
1) We come out with a 1/4 offense with Arenas at the point. But they players have already given up on this offensive scheme. Down 15.
2) Flip doesn’t recognize the personality of this team over the years regarding play against the easier teams at home. He needs to go to an energy unit much quicker.
3) The second team goes +19 in the 2nd quarter and sees no action together again.
4) Flip relies heavily on the Big 3 (average 40 minutes). Injuries to follow (assuming that they aren’t already playing hurt).
5) I’m not sure what the McGuire substitution was all about but it didn’t help. McGee sees no action in the 2nd half.
6) Everybody says how great Bosh played and how tough Turgu’s shot was, but Toronto’s starting backcourt shot 12 for 20. (Boykins played 38 minutes).
Several people on this board have been saying the Wiz have been playing well. Not yet. They still lack an identity, chemistry and trust.
i wasn't saying they were playing well
but there were signs of progress

jamison
on wednesday AJ took a bunch of bad shots and made them. i didn’t see the 4th or overtime, but my impression was that AJ was taking the same bad shots last night and missing them… ballgame. to me, much of flip’s comments seemed to be directed at AJ. he’s gotta know when he doesn’t have it going and contribute in other ways.
toronto was playing a statement game and still didn’t look very good. they are really going to struggle this year.
still hoping flip pulls this thing together. we have always been an erratic team. it will be a tough adjustment.

I think this loss
goes back on Flip as much as the team’s shooting percentage. I thought his player management was pretty bad.
Someone said the loss was Arenas’ for missing the shot. I dont know if you watched the game twice I did. I saw a major turnover from Arenas that looked bad but the MAJORITY of it came from a contested missed jumper way out on the top of the arc by Butler with time on the clock. A a few missed shots by Boykins a turnover by Boykins and what I thought was bad court vision by Boykins. Young was open several times in the fourth and was completely ignored on the weak side. Instead Boykins sent over to the congested area and we had Jamison shooting a contested jump shot that lead to a miss. Alot of things were wrong. But saying Arenas is the one is just completely unfair. He is the guy who kept us in the game. Dont believe go ahead and watch the game again.
Just seen the Highlights
Nothing of the 1st quarter slump in there obviously but Gil looked good
and the 34pts will hopefully jumpstart him now, Turk is one of the better closers
in the NBA and he showed it with that shot.
