"It's a difficult thing in the NBA. You're always looking for ways to improve. But I think we have plenty of players on the team. Now it's up to them to perform up to their abilities. You obviously evaluate as you go along and you'd really like to evaluate with a full deck for an extended period of time. And we really haven't had that full deck."

Ernie's statements are utterly worthless
Ernie is a robot. He says nothing interesting or meaningful to the press. This statement neither confirms nor denies the possibility of a future trade.
Of course he is going to say that we have talent on the roster and that they just need to gel. It’s not like he is going to say: “this team is in disarray. We have much less talent than we thought and we need to trade some of these guys before the rest of the league figures it out.”
Sure he's saying something
He’s giving Flip (and his system) a vote of confidence, he’s putting a little blame on injuries, and he’s calling out the individual players on the team to “perform up to their abilities”.
He’s also saying that he’s still evaluating, which I hope we all are.
