Antawn Jamison isn't expected to be back in uniform for another week or so because of his sprained right shoulder, but that doesn't mean that he isn't passionate about the direction of his team. So, after watching his teammates lose their third in a row -- an embarrassing blowout to a struggling team that entered the game with just one win -- he couldn't sit back and let them leave Indianapolis without giving them a piece of his mind.

Trust me, the audio could never be replayed in front of children.

In a loud, profanity-laced tirade, Jamison lit into his teammates, cursing them for what he considered a lethargic effort. No one was spared, and when reporters were allowed to enter the locker room, it was obvious that nothing, not even the fruit tray, was spared. It had been tossed into a corner, shattered to pieces, with fruit and candy scattered everywhere.

Michael Lee.

Mike Jones has a similar account of Jamison's post-game tirade. I've been critical of Jamison's leadership in the past, but I commend him here for taking a stand. The team needed it last night.

Hopefully they listen.

As teams like the Rockets have shown, hard work and hustle can make up for talent deficit. Lethargy isn’t an option.

Um

Antawn criticizes his teammates after every loss…not sure this is going to have much impact.

Thank you, Jamison

I doubt it will do anything. But thank you.

After only a few games

With two of the team’s five best players hurt? If I wanted to watch fans jump off a cliff this early I’d go read the comments on Michael Lee’s blog.

What we have here is a notoriously slow starting team, missing two important players, learning a new offensive and defensive systems, re-integrating a player who’s essentially missed two years, playing a pretty tough schedule. Were you expecting to be 5-1?

Don’t mean to offend you, and you’re definitely not the only one getting worried, but it’s just crazy to drive the bandwagon off the beltway this early.

Talk about small sample size

What about after the Mavericks game? Did you see that?

Clearly, you cannot single out one game. If you can, then I’ll single out the Mavs game and say we’re a 50 win team. You’d single out this last game and say we’re a 39-win team. The point is, it’s a process. And this game does speak volumes, but every game speaks volumes, and we use all information to form our expectations about this team’s end result.

Think what you want, but you’re not being fair to weigh this loss more than the win in Dallas. (Using these two data points to measure our high and low.)

My swag was phenomenal.

Good point bronco I agree. This team will have some very exciting wins and when things finally develop we will be lethal. I think they should reel watch the Mavs game once Jamison and Miller returns and re-evaluate what they did right and wrong in that game.
