"That's not one of our bigger problems," 7-Day-Dray said. "We have to play more as a team, fight through things as a team. We've got to stick together, no matter waht. Everybody has to trust everybody. Fouls are going to come, but you have to fight through that. After a while, everybody tried to make their own plays when we got down. We stopped sticking to the things we were doing. That kind of messed our rhythm up."
Well that's an interesting quote to read...

I don't know enough about the context to say one way or the other
But I just find it funny that Andray Blatche of all people is the one telling everyone that they need to come together.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.

It really as an interesting qoute
This is pretty much a brand-spanking new team we are looking at.
3 new free agents
2 players returning one out for two years
1 completely remade Andray Blatche
This team has to learn how to play together. You look at other teams they made one maybe two additions. Blatche is saying what I think alot of us saw in the cleveland game. They have to learn how to trust each other. I see a really strong second half as this teams gels.

Insightful quote from Blatche I think.
He may one day be a veteran leader.

It is weird to see Blatche saying this
It seems a little early in the season for a quote like that. But he’s right. The Wizards took a lot of bad shots in the second half and really seemed to stop moving the ball. The Cavs defense deserves credit, but the Wizards are better than they showed in that half. More turnovers than assists (12-13) isn’t going to get the job done, either.

That game changed because
of the refs. As soon as Haywood, Oberto, and Blatche got in foul trouble the offense completely bogged down. Having no one to set screens killed us. Honestly, there were so many horrible calls, with the offensive foul on Haywood being the most egregious. But there was a stretch in the second quarter with just one bad call after another and suprise, suprise, guess when Cleveland got back in the game. It was tough to watch and yet completely predictable.

+1,000,000
we made mistakes, but in a fairly called game they wouldve been no worse than every other team makes on a daily basis. it is so damn frustrating to watch call after call go against us, but what is there to do?
fans are sick of it, but the NBA just keeps instructing its refs to show favoritism and dont realize how much support they lose when the fans of 22 NBA teams feel they dont get a fair shot.
Coach Winters: Mississippi State's offensive set. 2nd & 2 on our own 24, what defensive set might we call?
Alvin Mack: Eagle Zipper Hero, unless the setback shifts into the I.
Coach Winters: Good..[clicks to next slide], third and seven?
Alvin Mack: Oakie Thunder Lion. {What's your assignment?}
Alvin Mack: Kill the quarterback. {{Coach Winters clicks to next slide}}
Alvin Mack: Hit the tight end so hard his girlfriend dies. {{Coach Winters clicks to next slide}}
Alvin Mack: Kill everybody.

Tim Donaghy is Telling the Truth
The referees are corrupt, there is no other way to explain this.

Adding insult to injury was
having to listen to the Cleveland announcers, who give Tommy Heinsohn a run for his money on the bias-o-meter.

Its obvious that game could have been won if we were werent playing the referees. Thats like going to a court case and hoping to win when the judge is against you, your gonna lose no matter what you say.

On a more positive note,
I thought 7-Day looked good again, despite the loss. His jumper looked good again and he made a handful of great defensive plays.

Great Comment from Blatche
I agree with Blatche completely. You’ll get awful calls and your bigs may have to go sit on the bench, but the biggest problem to me was that they weren’t running their offense. Gil and Foye were playing one on one a lot, jacking up shots, rather than running the offense (or as Blatche puts it, playing as a team and trusting each other). There WERE some awful calls. But you have to come back from that. They could have still won… The Cavs aren’t that good, and despite the refs and the foul trouble, they could have still won. They scored 30 in the first quarter, then only double that the rest of the game? They weren’t running the offense like they should. They weren’t playing as a team and trusting each other. I agree with Blatche. You can only blame so much on the refs. But it IS funny how it comes back to the refs again when we play Cleveland. :)
My swag was phenomenal.

funny, terrifying... same difference
Love hearing it from Blatche, love how he’s playing. The team probably needs time to come together as much as anything. As long as they’re beating the bad teams while they do, I’m fine with it. Look to the Caps as an example of what a good team shouldn’t be doing against bad teams.
