Watching the game tonight

with my best friend/cavs fan. Any creative taunts you can share with me would be appreciated. I like the fact that this is Lebron’s seventh year, and he still hasn’t won squat. That makes him mad and worried that Lebron will leave.

by Palace of Good Play's Golden Toilet on Nov 3, 2009 5:30 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

in truth i don't really think JeBron Lames is going to leave cleveland

but it is fun to see the defensiveness and panic the suggestion elicits from cavs fans.

Right now

I think there’s just as much of a chance that Lebron stays in Cleveland as there is of him leaving. In the end though, I don’t think about it too much. If he does sign somewhere else, I’ll simply hate that team as much as Cleveland.

Hypothetical question

If Lebron signs with another team next summer, are the Wiz and Cavs still rivals?

To expain

I’m not saying the Wiz will win tonight because I am superstitious, but I do think if the Wiz and Cavs played six games, the Wiz would win one.

Well I need to get some sleep in Warsaw...

but I am thinking good thoughts… and I DO get the Suns game live Sunday, which is something to endure the work week for.

The way to win tonight is to run their big suckers into the ground, just keep sending waves of fresh bodies at ’em… Plus use our backcourt depth and, yes, size to maximum advantage…. let the crab king get his triple double but stymie the rest of them.

Yeah – at least with Varejao and Ben Wallace last year, they were quick enough to guard the PnR, and they were quick cutters on Offense too…. If Ilgauskas was having trouble, they could adjust… Now, they’ve got problems.

Cavs broadcast had a poll

“Which Wizards player do you dislike the most?”
The choices were Arenas, Haywood, and Stevenson
Early results had Stevenson with 70%, Arenas with 20%, and Haywood with 8%
No I don’t know what happened to the other 2%
I think if Wiz fans were asked that same question, Stevenson would still win lol

Going after the ball like that let him know that his size doesn’t get him a pass in this league any more. You can let Shaq try to back his way into the lane simply because he’s 400 pounds. The other two… well, Dray needs to calm down.

One of the worst charge calls I have ever seen

Boobie practically dove in front of Blatche

i dont see how

the replacement refs could be worse than this, billy crystal and keanu reeves would be better than this

by stlballa on Nov 3, 2009 9:22 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Ya, as we know

Crystal can determine within .1 seconds whether Charles Barkley made a shot.

Wiz got screwed on calls but Shaq was the difference in this game. Im out, its been nice everyone. word

shaq was the difference because the Referees called early fouls on Haywood, forcing him to the bench… then proceeded to call 4 fouls on the backup (McGee) to get HIM on the bench….

I know the refs have something to do with tonight

But our inability to get to the line, coupled with our propensity to foul, it really hurting us now.

You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.

And the fact that we do not have a frontcourt built ...

to deal with the shaqs, dwight howards and the garnett/perkins/wallaces of the east.

Is this how it's gonna be all season?

A game where everything flows, followed by a game where nothing clicks after the first quarter?…

Referee loss anyone???? Go to Cleveland, you will get some of the worst calls in the world. My god that was agonizing to watch the ga—— scratch that agonizing to watch the referees.

true BUT

it has been a bit of a pattern with our big men getting lots of fouls early. oberto, i understand, but this must be addressed

i think

it was lot to do with the refs…but everything happens in stages, we played well early, hopefully next time we can continue that play longer and with more consistency….this is going to make me hate shaq and cleveland fans have no class (i.e. buckantz comments about when stevenson was dumped by shaq, and if they had a vote on who the wiz fans disliked the most on the cavs, i would vote a million times for varejao and 999,999 for the auto insurance attorney James, kirk, and siaonz.

Highly disappointing...

I’ve really always wondered why referees are protected by the league in an impenetrable shell. Ever since the Donaghy scandal we were promised more information regarding the referees and how they’re trained and scored. It really calls into question the fairness of the league and Stern’s interest in the league’s brand. Now, I understand the game is tough to call and call correctly, but when you favor some players over others… it makes for a lame product.

That being said, the Wizards got away from everything they did right in the first quarter. DEFENSE. CONTESTING shots. They weren’t spectacular on offense, but they played a hell of a game on D. Towards the end of the game Gilbert just broke plays and called his number way too much. He, and I’m calling out him personally, needs to get Miller into the game so that if the defense sags to him, he’s got a knock down shooter ready to spot up. Frustrating and I sure as hell do not want to be in the locker room right now getting an earful from Flip.
