Gilbert Arenas said players on the team had "hidden agendas," noting that eight players on the team are free agents following the season.
"I guess when you start losing everyone wants to start pointing fingers everywhere else," Arenas said. "I converted my game to try to get people involved, but at the end of the day, to be honest, this is the same team since three years ago. We added a couple of pieces, but everybody else is basically the same player.
"I'm sitting here thinking 'Do I have to go in attack mode like I was two years ago to get us over this hump?' I hope not. I hope we're strong enough mentally that we can get over this."

That's just great
Contract years? Come on Gil. You’re better than that. The 2 guys who combine to take 41% of the team’s shots are shooting a combined 39.4%. And both are under contract through at least next year. Throw in 6.6 turnovers per game for those same 2 guys and I think its clear that guys in their contract year aren’t the problem. Hit some shots and stop giving the ball away! That will help things in a hurry.

Yeah, for real
All this talk after losses is cheap. Hit some shots; stop turning the ball over. Win some games, please. I really hope the Wizards can turn this mess around. Arenas said this would never happen with him in the lineup. Well, it’s time to prove it.

Remember Gil's previous "comebacks"?
I was at the game 2 seasons ago when he just subbed himself in on a random weekday when no one was at the arena…he came in and hit his first four shots in a variety of ways…
Remember when injured Gil just decided to play that cavs series (and then decided to “shut it down” w/o telling Eddie Jordan)? Didn’t he have 24 against the cavs easy?
The thing about Gil that made him SO SICK, was that when he locked in, he made scoring look SO easy…it was like he wasn’t even trying. Just think back to all those amazing 54 suns/60 lakers type games. It almost made u forget or forgive his horrendous defense…
How you go from making it look effortless yo struggling every night is beyond me. He has got to pick a goal and STICK TO IT…taking 55 more shots than anybody else doesn’t sound like much of a distributor to me…he just does NOT look confident out there…
I keep wondering if this is the same Gil with the famed workouts we used to hear about… Does he still go to the gym and put up 500 jumpers and all that? Then why isn’t his shot trustworthy? He has his moments but overall he just looks weak out there.
I remember posting before the season started about how I wasn’t convinced this team would be any different…me and several other posters mentioned how we needed to “see” them prove it through action, not ridiculous talk about how we could compete for a championship…I noted how we were not a better team than atl, etc – and I got pretty jumped on by some true wizards fans lol… Pretty much exactly what I feared and noted has happened – this team has just NOT matured enough…
Let’s hope that changes…

I Apologize
I can’t remember if I was one of the guys jumping on you, but I will admit I extremely overrated this team coming out of preseason. I was totally, 100% wrong. And if Gilbert thinks he can still take over games if he wanted to, he should either put up or shut up. He is not a superstar anymore. The onus is on him to prove otherwise.

Irony at its best
While saying how everyone else is pointing fingers….He goes on and does the same exact thing but 10x worse. These kind of comments should be kept within closed locker room doors. Gil, don’t air your dirty laundry through the media.

Disappointing -
comments by Gil. I certainly hope he is looking at his own play and what he needs to do to improve and make the team better.

This comment is horse sh*t
“I converted my game to try to get people involved.”
Uh …. not really. I’m not sure what or who Gilbert Arenas thinks he converted himself to, but it’s not something to brag about doing as an accomplishment or sacrifice.
.390 from the field … 4 turnovers per game …. is that on other people? No, it’s on Arenas’ inability to lead the team.
