Worlds apart

Here’s hoping Cleveland plays Boston every night

Sometimes a photo like that will help me get through the day.

I think its clear to me we just switched positions with Cleveland last year. Except we will finish. I personally watching our team last night really do feel we can win a championship. Hate me for aiming high.

aim high until it’s absolutely clear you’re being unrealistic.

Priceless....

They would not be allowed in FedEx Field of course.

And He Used to Be the King of the Plus Minus

Shaq looks like he is done.

Wow

Cleveland is now 0-2. If they fall off the map, then the Wizards can claim the 3rd seed in the East. That greatly increases our chances of getting to the EC Finals.

I was just going to post about that!

The Cavs

are struggling to mesh. Shaq isn’t drawing fouls like he used too and between him and Bron they are a terrible FT team. They miss West as well.

by forthepeople on Oct 28, 2009 10:01 PM EDT up reply actions

yeah that's very true

they look out of sync. i know shaq loafs until he decides the games count, but really, if that was their big acquisition, how exactly is that team better than last year?
footnote – at the end of that game they called a block on bosh when he set up so perfectly to draw a charge on lebrawn, and was in textbook position. terrible terrible call.

We’d need to win the SE to get 3rd place in the East, no?

by MR on Oct 28, 2009 10:24 PM EDT up reply actions

No
The team that has the best record in each of the three divisions in each conference is declared division champion. The three champions, and the one other team in the conference with the best record are seeded one through four by their records.

Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NBA_Playoffs

When Cleveland went to the NBA Finals in 2007, they were second in their division to Detriot, but were still the #2 seed because of their record. Based on this interpretation, the Wizards could finish behind Orlando and still get the #3 seed if they have the third best record in the East.

Yeah

That rule got changed recently (I think after 2006?)

You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.

Update: Cavs are 0-2

making this post even more justified. Or something.
