Free T-Shirts? Really?
So there's a guy on Wizards Insider that has been offering free t-shirts to anyone who writes to him and asks.
The T-Shirts say "Fire Ernie (not Eddie)" and feature a picture of Ernie Grunfeld.
Not that I subscribe to the notion that firing Ernie Grunfeld would do any good... or that firing Ernie is even the right thing to do.... Matter of fact, I like the job he's done... Of course, I liked the job Eddie Jordan did too.
Anyone here on Bullets Forever get one of these?

Don't have one
Don’t plan on getting one. I get what he’s saying but you could really argue it the other way just as effectively.
(Although I’m curious as to who his supplier is. Maybe he’s getting a better deal on his T-Shirt production.)

Completely off topic but I'm curious (sorry)
What do you think of Dungy retiring? I’m sad – he’s done so much for football.

Not surprised, but definitely didn't want to see him go
He’d considered retirement the last couple of years, so it was only a matter of time. I’ve heard a lot of good things about his successor, Jim Caldwell, but there’s going to be some uneasiness until he can put some wins under his belt.
It’s kind of weird how Dungy’s retirement reminds me a lot of Eddie Jordan’s firing in some ways. Both took their teams to levels that hadn’t been reached in decades but both were criticized for not being able to get out of the first round of the playoffs at times. Still, both well liked and respected in the community by fans and regarded as some of the best when it came relating with players. Obviously, the circumstances under which each one left were very different, but there’s a lot of similarities between the two.

Yet
Tapscott is Ernie’s right-hand man. If you have a problem with Tapscott, then what you are really saying is that you have a problem with Ernie. I could be wrong, but I happen to think a lot of Tapscott’s decisions are coming straight from the top.

Well I would consider firing Ernie-
if Gilbert is a bust – I’m pretty much waiting on that before i turn against Ernie. I want to see what his plan is for a coach next year as well. Tapscott probably is his puppet but as a coach of this team, he has the responsibility to put the best players out there as a coach which I don’t think he is doing. He has a voice too and can stand up to Ernie regardless of what Ernie wants. The in game decisions are probably his not Ernie’s.

I Can't Really Argue This Because I Don't Know
The in game decisions are probably his not Ernie’s.
But his in-game decisions have been pretty consistent – play the veterans and make the youngsters earn playing time. If Ernie did not like this, don’t you think he would have said something to Tapscott by now?

Who knows what is going on -
behind closed doors and we’ll never really know. I guess I’m placing more weight on Tapscott making more decisions than him completely being a puppet. And it’s mainly born out of frustration at this season and that I don’t agree about playing the veterans so hard at this point in the season. For example, why did Antawn play so many minutes last night when he is injured. Yes Antawn has pride and wants to be out there – but as coach you can overrule him. Ernie has made some good moves so I’m more likely to give him a pass right now.

Will wear it proudly
At the Phoenix game. I did get one. Of course I think Ernie has done some really great things for this franchise (Kwame for Caron being the highlight for me) and he’s a good judge of young talent (Nick Young and JaVale McGee). But he’s led us into the current situation we’re in which is pretty abysmal. We have NO money to make any changes unless we trade (and we only have a few players with any trade value). His whole “continuity” message is a piece of crap if you ask me. He basically said we’ll just stay pat with what we have (a team that consistently exits the playoffs in the first round) while all the other teams around us are making moves to get better. He also always butted heads with Eddie and I think took his first opportunity to fire him (11games?!? I’m still disgusted by that). Instead of naming a guy like Randy Ayers who is a veteran NBA coach and provides the emphasis on defense that we desperately need, he names his best bud and lackey, Tapscott. Ernie is absolutely his puppet master and it makes me sick. Therefore…I’ll be wearing the shirt on Monday.
