OT: Redskins/NFL thread

Last night was a pretty pathetic effort, to say the least.  Apparently, Jason Campbell and Jim Zorn feel that if it's third and 10, a two-yard pass is the best option.  It feels like Santana Moss has been in hibernation for the past two years, which doesn't make life any easier.  Our defense played decently, but they were on the field way too long.

Anyway, here's to a better result next week.  Use this space to discuss anything NFL-related.

This represents the view of the user who wrote the FanPost, and not the entire Bullets Forever community. We're a place of many opinions, not just one.

offense

the defense was ok, but its pretty obvious that no one has learned the west coast offense. they had all of training camp and the preseason, i bet i could master it faster than they have

We have a long way to go

Our receivers need to work on their route running, Jason Campbell should really learn timing, to focus and to check all his options. And if that damn clock doesn’t somehow learn to go slower when we have the ball then we’re screwed.

I don't like.....

How Zorn blames everyone else……not saying that he needs to take the ultimate responsibility (Joe Gibbs did that a little too much), but it’s Zorn’s job to get everyone on the same page, and it doesn’t look like that’s happening.

Yea, he didn't seem like he wanted to man up in his presser

He gave the defense some credit, but was pretty hard on the offense. He was more critical of the way the offense played than how it was ran… especially during that stretch in the 4th when we were eating away at the clock, with no hurry up offense in sight! Since it is Zorn’s offense, he better have some strong reflections about how to step up the execution.

Go Ravens?

My best game plan is to sit on the bench and call out specific instructions like 'C'mon Boog,' 'Get ahold of one, Frank,' or 'Let's go, Brooks.' -Earl Weaver

Apparently Zorn thought there would be a 5th quarter last night.

I think Zorn did take responsibility for the offense and said that nobody was executing and that everyone had things to work on. I just hope he corrects his play calling for next week…

how many fourth and 1's?

I mean seriously, receivers need to know where the damn sticks are and so does campbell. If zorn is calling routes short of the first down marker than that’s just idiocy, you’ll get there on a slant once in a while, but throw the ball past the sticks!
