When will the PR department realize the only acceptable slogan is “Nobody beats the Wiz! Nobody!”

God knows

Not sure why there needs to be a slogan every year. A couple of years when poker became popular, the Wiz used “All In” or something like that. Worst ever was the ‘97 playoffs – we leveraged that wacky new medium called the internet. I remember going to the one home game vs. the Bulls, and being handed a sign that said “Wizards@Playoffs.Com

Ahh....the 3 C's

I don’t have a problem with selling Jamison and his character/commitment.

But yes, I’m also wondering about the use of ‘connection’

Wouldn’t “crafty” be suitable for AJ? (but not necessarily the team)

They could have used a “Crazy” for Gil and DeShawn.

I honestly would prefer, “Cohesion, Character, Commitment,” but that also has the feel of a military commercial.

meh, its no "Ready to Rule"

But would I would really like to see is out of town beat writers not use “Wizards cast a spell on Team X,” or “Wizards make Team X disappear” for the entire year.

Its always Roger Mason (Jr.) time!

Championship, Championship, Championship

How about that? Man, how long did they spend looking for another C? Connection must be something related to his work in the community, or connecting on a pass? Nah, Jamison’s shooting it. How about control? Nah, that’s Stevenson. How about cactus? Nah, that’s Peshy. How about capitalize??? Haha. They brought in LeSooz in to come up with this campaign. Ha, another C!

Some communications guru once said, “You need three message points”... and that concept appears to have stuck hard with the Wizards marketing team. Actually it makes sense in terms of the audience’s retention.

Character and Commitment are pretty good words, and accurate ones for where the Wizards are at. The third C seems to have stumped the gang a bit, though.

Cohesion does fall a bit short and although we seem to be stuck with it, a little extra brainstorming is always fun.

Championship conveys a good “stretch” message.

Community has a nice double meaning. The Wiz are big on community service and the team itself has a good sense of community (common purpose).

Continuity clearly describes the decision management has made to stick with this core of players.

Class is a nice word, too, and single syllable words have more impact than -tion and
-ness words.

Charisma is a good descriptor for Gilbert Arenas…

Your turn folks…
