Around SBN: Pens to sign defenseman Jay McKee

Mini-Camp Begins - from WashingtonWizardsBlog.com

A couple videos to check out.....don't show much.

Interesting comments from SportzWiz, one of the site moderators/bloggers:

Lot of learning going on and trying to understand what the coaches wanted in drills.

Dominic, Nick, Dray and Dee seemed to take over the leadership roles. Pech was icing down an ankle and we’ll have more on that as we get it. Veeremenko should arrive tonight and be ready to go tomorrow.

Dee Brown first impression - Very humble human being who is very VERY excited to be here. Went to Turkey to work on his game and he’s very excited about the opportunity.

Dominic - Talked about working on his mid-range jumper ths off-season and ball-handling. Also dropped 10 lbs is down to 225 he’s trying to be quicker so he can as he says "Be that lock down defender for this team."

Nick - Working on his defense and his understanding of the offense. His jumper is just so pure.

Andray - Is calling himself the Antawn of the team (with Dom being "Caron" and Nick obviously being "Gil"), but he’s trying to push everyone.

Pech

They say Pecherov has a “sprained” ankle..

Let’s hope it wasn’t the Wizards training staff that made that diagnosis – they may have to amputate…

Didn't he have ankle issues last year?

Might it be the same one?

Personally, I still have hope for the guy and am not giving up on him just yet.

Yeah

The Wizards crack Medical staff diagnosed his problem last year as a “sprained” ankle – that turned into a fractured ankle – weeks later.

That’s what worries me about this latest “sprained” ankle…... I’m afraid for Pech’s life…!!

im glad your reading comprehension is that of a 2nd graders

“hairline fracture” would be a fracture not a sprain.

Excuse me

You put down people like that, you won’t be here long. I don’t want to ask you again.

There are much nicer ways to write that sentence and still get your point across.

You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.

Hey

igetbucketsson – I’m not sure where you’ve been, but the Wizards Medical staff (or Trainers) originally diagnosed Pecherov’s fractured ankle last year as a “sprained ankle”...

So it's ok when he makes a crack at the medical staff

but its not ok when I mock him for not reading the press release that came from the team at the time of injury…I am new but i dont get what the difference is.

There's a major difference

Between insulting a fellow poster and making a crack at something involving the team.

Posters need to treat each other with respect around here.

Hey - I don't mind - seen lots worse on Ivan's blog

But – truthfully, the Wizards originally diagnosed the Pecherov injury as a “high ankle sprain”...

The injury occurred in practice on Sunday October 28th – Then a week later, the Wizards announced the fracture.

My post was intended as a lighthearted jab at the Wizards Medical/Training staff – who, truth be told, have not come off looking too good the last several years.

I've also seen much worse on Wiz Insider

But I think we can all agree that’s not the road we want to go down here.

You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
