Free agent forward Jarvis Hayes plans to sign a two-year contract with the New Jersey Nets, a league source with knowledge of the negotiations said.
Hayes met with New Jersey management in Orlando, Fla., on Thursday and left confident that he’ll sign for the bi-annual exception that would pay him $4 million over two seasons.
Enjoy your investment, Nets fans.

waste of money
There are about 10 guards in the NBDL who would run circles around Jarvis. And they’d sign for the minimum. I think Grunfeld is right, nobody worth signing signs for the $1.9 exception, so don’t even bother. Jarvis should right a book called “How to get set for life as a 1st round scrub in the NBA”

Well its only two years
So it doesn’t change the Nets situation to chase LeBron in 2010. Jarvis is a useful player off the bench for them.
