question

did you pull the draft order out of your head? that would be impressive.

by DarrellWalkerFan on Jun 25, 2008 5:41 PM EDT reply actions

an attempt at "count on it" picks

1 – chicago – rose
2 – miami – beasley (i think the trade rumors are all bogus)
3 – minnesota – o.j. mayo
12 – sacramento – roy hibbert (makes prada look like a genius in the sbnation draft)
18 – washington – some future all-star
22 – orlando – courtney lee

that’s all i’ve got.

I'll have my unequivocally awful mock up later tonight

Is the Portland-New York trade 13 & 27 for 6 straight-up, or are players moving as well?

Nah, players would move

It’d probably be something like Travis Outlaw and Steve Blake/Jarrett Jack heading to NY, with someone like David Lee or Nate Robinson going to Portland. I got too lazy to figure out.

You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.

Curious...

I know there is a ton of respect for Hollinger on here. Just wondering why so many are adamant against Darrell Arthur if he is projected as the 5th best prospect in this draft by Mr Hollinger?

I figured that would sway some folks. Just curious…

I guess I disagree with him on this...

I have no clue how Arthur ended up so high on his list. I think Arthur has a lot of potential, but the lack of rebounding is a huge red flag for this team. It’s the one thing we could use in a big man, and it’s Arthur’s biggest weakness.

I think he can play, but he’s a bad fit.

Alright

Because of recent developments, I have to do this thing again. Here goes.

1. CHICAGO: Derrick Rose
2. MIAMI: O.J. Mayo (this is more wishful thinking than anything)
3. MINNESOTA: Michael Beasley
4. SEATTLE: Russell Westbrook
5. NEW YORK (from Memphis for David Lee, etc.): Jerryd Bayless
6. CHARLOTTE (from New York for some combination of their old picks): Kevin Love
7. LA CLIPPERS: Eric Gordon
8. MILWAUKEE: Joe Alexander
9. NEW YORK (from Charlotte): Danillo Gallinari
10. PORTLAND (from New Jersey): Brandon Rush
11. INDIANA: Brook Lopez

JakeTheSnake's Official Mock Draft 1.0

I avoided trades because they’re too complex for my small, fragile mind:

4. SEATTLE: O.J. Mayo
5. MEMPHIS: Brook Lopez
6. NEW YORK: Russell Westbrook
7. LA CLIPPERS: Jerryd Bayless
8. MILWAUKEE: Joe Alexander
9. CHARLOTTE: Anthony Randolph
10. NEW JERSEY: Danillo Gallinari
11. INDIANA: Eric Gordon
12. SACRAMENTO: D.J. Augustin
13. PORTLAND: (gulp) Mario Chalmers
14. GOLDEN STATE: Marreese Speights
15. PHOENIX: Brandon Rush
16. PHILADELPHIA: Darrell Arthur
17. INDIANA: DeAndre Jordan
18. WASHINGTON: Roy Hibbert
19. CLEVELAND: Kosta Koufos
20. CHARLOTTE: JaVale McGee
21. SACRAMENTO: Robin Lopez
22. ORLANDO: Courtney Lee
23. UTAH: Jason Thompson
24. SEATTLE: Nikola Pekovic
25. HOUSTON: Alexis Ajinca
26. SAN ANTONIO: Chris Douglas-Roberts
