Are the Jazz Happy They Drafted DeShawn Stevenson?
Utah has the 23rd pick this year. The last time they had "lucky" #23, a high schooler named DeShawn landed in their lap.
While the Jazz haven't always been lucky when dealing with the number 23, GM Kevin O'Conner hopes this draft trend continues.

How can you not be happy
with a pick at #23 that ends up being a Starter..??
(Unless, of course, he becomes a starter for someone else!!! )

???
“Stevenson has started 82-of-82 games over each of the past three seasons, including the last of his two-plus seasons with the Orlando Magic and each of the last two with a Washington Wizards club that took part both years in postseason play. He even started 54-of-54 games in his fourth and final season with the Jazz, before being shipped to the Magic at the 2004 trade deadline.”
whhaaaa??
Then they say “And while he did start 87-of-222 games for the Jazz”, what the? I guess they meant he played in 82 of 82 games in the earlier statement.

I don't think so
He did start all 82 games in Orlando in 06, and he’s started every game here.
I’m not sure what you’re confused about.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.

87 of 222
Can be misleading as DeShawn started in 87 of the 222 games that he played in Utah.
222 games played over 3 years and 54 games of year 4.
Misleading because I’m not sure how many of the games he didn’t play were DNP-CDs or him being injured.
But yea, I’m not sure of the confusion either.

i'm retarded
that’s my confusion. I thought too fast. he didn’t start every game in the 2004-05 season, but that’s not what the article said.
