The past 2 playoffs against Cavs have shown that this team is soft inside. It needs a real POWER fordward that will not back down and will know the crap out of anyone willing to venture inside. No one on this team fills that need now or potentially. If Wizards could get these 2 power forwards and trade Ethan, and come up with a defense minded backup at PG, I say it would have been a great draft day!!

If you’re looking for strength inside Darrell Arthur (6’8.5 in shoes, 216 pounds) is NOT the answer. Lebron isn’t going to steer clear of the lane because we added another forward who is shorter and lighter/weaker than he is. Arthur measures more like a SF, ecept that he doesn’t have the shooting range you’d expect from a SF. So he’s a solid rebounding, athletic SF who is not an adept passer or ball handler/dribbler. Its like they took Jamison and subtracted his scoring ability and 3 point shot.

Arthur duplicates the skills we get from AJ, Blatche, Songalia and Pesh while not addressing these same players’ weaknesses. Arthur also doesn’t do well in terms of WIN score.

Whats worse, if you’re Chad Ford, is that not one but 5 or 6 preferable bigs are still on the board when he slaps Arthur on his sheet in the 18 hole.

At 47 is at least brings in a guy who’s nearly as big as Lebron even though there are several preferable names on the board

but can you make an argument for arthur possibly being the best player available at 18? the dude seems like he has some talent.
