BF Draft Board: Pick #16

Darrell Arthur gets the 15th spot.  I sigh in the realization that the group disagrees with me.  I then remember that this means we're almost done with our board.  I become happier.

Here it is in all its glory.

  1. Derrick Rose
  2. Michael Beasley
  3. O.J. Mayo
  4. Jerryd Bayless
  5. Kevin Love
  6. Brook Lopez
  7. Eric Gordon
  8. Russell Westbrook
  9. Joe Alexander
  10. D.J. Augustin
  11. Danillo Gallinari
  12. Anthony Randolph
  13. Brandon Rush
  14. Marreese Speights
  15. Darrell Arthur

Here's the vote for the 16th spot.  Vote early, and explain yourself if you wish in the comments.

Does that mean you want Wizards to grab Arthur? If so, it is possible but from what I have read he like most of the “bigs” after the top 10 are all over the board. This is a very hard draft to read, except that at this point, the area the Wizards are drafting the most likely BAA will be a big and Wizards should go in that direction instead of reaching for a backup PG, Wizards other major need.

I meant

That I don’t want the Wizards to grab Arthur, because he can’t rebound and doesn’t shoot free throws.

You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.

me neither

I’m hoping Arthur and Donte Greene are off the board when we pick, or Ernie has the good sense to avoid them. Just watched Hickson take it straight through Gist during a workout with the Blazers. F the Pack but this kid is strong.

I’ve stopped posting the comment on ESPN’s mock drafts, pointing out that the Wizards do not need a 5th face-up forward. AJ, Blatche, Songalia, Pesh have that position covered.

Also watched a workout snipit of Hibbert, McGee, Jordan and Ajinca in Charlotte. Hibbert is the only Center in the bunch. McGee and Ajinca will never play the center spot. They’ll be big lanky 4’s. Jordan could grow into the center position, eventually.

Hibbert over CDR?

Now I’m miffed.

It still leaves Mario Chalmers on the board for the Wizards…
