Memphis Trade Idea
Draft Express is reporting that the Grizzlies would like to move up from 28 to grab a wing player before Orlando and some others. The deal they mention is #28 and Kyle Lowery to the Nuggets for pick #20.
Would you do this deal for pick #18? DX later mentions:
The Wizards wouldn’t mind moving out if someone would offer them a good deal involving a point guard, but at this point that doesn’t seem likely to happen.
Moving back 8 spots and picking up Lowry (1.1M, 2M and 2.9 in salary over the next 3 seasons) would be fine by me. Then we can take BPA at #28 or potentially move back again to secure multiple second round picks. Minnesota, Portland, Sacramento and Seattle all have muliple 2's. It appears Memphis is only willing to take back salary to move up form #5 so i didn't bother hoisting Etan or AD on them.
Thoughts?

I'd definitely do that
There isn’t a huge difference between 18 and 28 anyway, and Lowry’s exactly the type of defensive point that could help us.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
ESPN
ESPN mentions a deal that would be Lowry and #28 for Kleiza and the Nuggets pick at 20.
I assume the above deal is Memphis’ offer and Lowry/#28 for #20 is Denver’s counter offer. Somewher ein between there is a deal to be done.
I wouldn’t do that deal if I was the Nuggets. Kleiza is ready for a breakout year if he can get more minutes.
I'd do it in a heart beat
Would the Nuggets really trade Kleiza for that?
It seems like the guy had more value.
The #18 and Pecherov for Lowry and the #28 would work for me.
Lowry is a little guy, but rebounds very well. I also really like his aggressiveness in getting to the basket.

Adds depth
Trading down to the late 20’s in exchange for a backup point would be such an underrated move. This draft is very deep through the entire first round, and we’d get value at 28 for sure.
How about #18 and the future first rounder we got from Memphis for JCN for #28 and Lowry?
To give up nothing and end up with 2 additions of, say, Lowry and Hibbert (he probably won’t be here, but I’d take a chance on Joey Dorsey at 28) would be huge next season. We have to replace Mason’s production somehow, and this would indeed get it done.

Do it.
I really like this trade. I think Lowry would fit in great with us – he’s the kind of point guard (well a little small, really) we’d be hoping our draft pick would turn into. The price also seems reasonable.
