Hopefully this puts the "we shouldn't have traded JCN" camp to bed.

Definitely a good call to choose DeShawn over JCN
but this does raise some questions about drafting overseas talent.

Nothing
We still have the protected draft pick no matter what.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.

So, we secretly become Grizzlies fans.....
Next year….it’s top 16 protected.
In the west, that basically means they need to make the playoffs.
The Nuggets were the 8 seed with a 50-32 record in 07-08…but have the 20th pick because of their record.
50 wins would be a +18 game change in the win column for the Griz.
Yea, riiiiiight.

I'll take it
I’d take Deshawn over JCN any day. Throw in a second round pick at worst, and I think it worked out quite favorably for the Wiz. If the Grizz continue to follow form (ie; suck) which is almost a forgone conclusion since their GM is Chris Wallace, the 2nd rounder should be in the low 30’s. Well played Ernie
