BF Draft Board: Pick #10

I know it's early, but I'm calling the ninth spot for Joe Alexander.  I want to make sure we get to our pick, so some of these upcoming slots might be determined quicker than usual.

Alexander was my choice, and coincidentally, he went #9 in the SB Nation draft just now.   Queen City Hoops compared Alexander to Gerald Wallace, which I think is pretty apt.  Both were late-bloomers that are athletic freaks, with the only difference being that Alexander developed in college instead of languishing on an NBA bench.  Alexander would have fit in well as a strong defensive player and multi-dimensional scorer behind Caron Butler, and you can play him at both frontcourt spots.  Alas, thanks to his strong workouts, he won't be around at 18.

Here's our current draft board:

  1. Derrick Rose
  2. Michael Beasley
  3. O.J. Mayo
  4. Jerryd Bayless
  5. Kevin Love
  6. Brook Lopez
  7. Eric Gordon
  8. Russell Westbrook
  9. Joe Alexander

Here's the vote for the tenth spot.  Write-in candidates should be specified in the comments section.

Caught.....

I’ve been voting Augustin.

...But Randolph seems too good to let slip this far.

Kind of surprised that Augustin and Randolph are the only vote-getters so far seeing how many good prospects there are at this point. I went with Randolph just because I think the upside is too much to pass up on at this point. I think there are still a handful of good prospects out there.

Who?

At this point I’m just picking names that look familiar to me… Sadly, I’m just like any other fan, then.
