Around SBN: Nevin Shapiro Vows To Bring Down Miami

This might be the worst loss of the LeBron era. Unbelievable. Horribly ugly game. Turnovers, missed shots, no aggressiveness until the second half. They played so poorly I couldn’t even believe it was a close game.

And then, when they had a chance to end it up 87 - 82 with just under 2:00 left, they couldn’t even get one more basket.

Absolutely unbelievable. Now, instead of having several days of extra rest for the Celtics, they’re looking at a 7-game series. (There’s no way they win Game 6.)

This team is so far away from championship-caliber it’s not even funny. Can’t even beat a bunch of thug misfits on your home floor. Absolutely embarrassing.

Great Comments, Except...

I take exception to when you called the Wizards “a bunch of thug misfits.” DeShawn did run his mouth too much this series, but he isn’t one of the team leaders. Consider the below quote from Caron Butler, a true classy guy:

“Don’t judge this team by comments,” he said. “LeBron made a statement: ‘these guys are talkers’ but unless you hear something from the captains, which would be myself and Antawn, don’t label that as the team. I’m the voice of this team and Antawn is the spiritual and emotional leader so unless you hear it from one of us, keep it moving.”

Thug Misfits

I absolutely love that the Cleveland media (and Jay-Z, and the national media… you get it) are portraying the Wizards as a bunch of bruisers and thugs, when the one complaint about them for the past 3 years has been that they are SOFT. I guess Nick Young, Pech, and Dom really came into the locker room and infected it with their negative thuggery, because this team is the same team that people have been calling soft for years. Don’t let Deshawn’s mouthy antics and Brendan’s frustration fool you, the media wants this feud more than anyone else, and you’re buying into it.
