Just to show how crazy this series has gotten
An error is one thing, making the error because you've become preconditioned to expect that you'll hear something different from what you actually hear is something completely different. Hot off the AP:
CLEVELAND -- In an April 28 story about the first-round playoff series between the Washington Wizards and Cleveland Cavaliers, The Associated Press erroneously reported a comment by Wizards point guard Gilbert Arenas. Discussing the chances of the Wizards overcoming a 3-1 deficit to win the series, Arenas said: "They said there are eight teams that have done it. We can be the ninth." He did not say, "We are going to be the ninth."
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it's gotten to the point where they're expecting the Wizards to talk smack!
Pavlov's dogs, meet the Wizards-Cavaliers reporters. Wizards-Cavaliers reporters, meet Pavlov's dogs...

Only, LeBron's flagrants come without
foul shots or media condemnation. Ridiculous.

And Damon Jones' throat slashes come without fines.
Man i just want to see us play with some real heart. I don’t care about the refs or the Lebron rules (extra steps and protection from refs). I don’t care about the media bias. I don’t care that Lebron is the best player in the series. I honestly just don’t think this team has figured out the type of intensity and focus you have to bring in the playoffs. If they can bring it for the rest of the series then i will be happy win or lose.
Getting buckets since 2003.

Me too
To me there is nothing worse than not giving it your all and playing without heart or as if you don’t even care. I was so angry with what I saw on Sunday. To me AJ is the only one who gives it everything day in and day out. I hope they play with fire tonight. I’m just sick of all the talking, media and behavior by both teams. I just want everyone to concentrate on the actual game. And I don’t want our season to end in this way.

The AP needs to remove itself from the cavaliers/Lebron jock
I’m convinced whoever writes sports for the is biased. I found this other article on espn where apparently Deshawn “sent Lebron sprawling to the floor”, afterwards [the King] “popped up immediately and took a few steps toward Stevenson”.
The writer then makes light of the NBA fining Stevenson for making “menacing gestures”, and that “Mike Brown praised James for keeping his compusure”.
First off, the facts are wrong. Lebron was never sent sprawling to the ground. Second, he is clearly trying to paint Lebron as the victim and Deshawn, the “physical wizards” (every time I hear that, I snicker), and the “raucous crowd” as the evil villains who are conniving to end King James career.
I’m sick of this, I really do hope we can overcome the officiating, media, and …. poor rebounding? that has plagued us this series. All we need to do is prove the inevitability concept wrong tonight, and push forward.

This is too funny
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.

Unfortunately, not unbelievable
I’ve felt like a lot of the media hype about the Wizards saying before the series that they were going to play rough against Lebron was made up. I don’t recall any quotes like that from the players in the articles leading up to Game 1. I think its mostly been a Mike Brown/Lebron invention. Brendan’s quotes have all been delivered in an obviously humorous manner yet they’ve been played up beyond belief also.
This false quote is just more of the same. I fully expect to hear some radio or TV panelist ripping Gilbert today for it.
And Lebron is right. The Wizards crowds are mild compared to Detroit and probably to the Cleveland crowd tonight. Our raucousness has been limited to booing and chanting “overrated”. Nothing thrown, no profane signs or chants, no mugging of fans wearing Cleveland gear.
