This is pretty typical of our luck.
Hopefully it's nothing serious.

I'm surprised....
.....that it’s not worse. I’ve become jaded by Wizards injury reports.
At this point, we can only hope that the Cavs eat hamburgers for breakfast like Rajon Rondo did when the Celtics came to DC.
Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo, who had 4 points and seven assists in 25 minutes, went to the locker room before the start of the fourth quarter because of an upset stomach. Rondo believes he contracted food poisoning from eating a hamburger at the team hotel early yesterday morning.

Let's Delay
I know I’m a Cavs fan and I should probably be excited about Arenas and his wrist. But what I really love is a great matchup, an exciting game, winning fair and square. If Arenas can’t play or plays impaired, suddenly it’s not fun anymore. Let’s delay game two until Gil is all better.

Terrible News
The only way this is not serious is if Arenas is pretending to be hurt in order to psyche out the Cavaliers. I seriously doubt this is the case, but with Gil you never really know.
If his wrist is hurting, then it will affect his shot, since he is right handed. He can’t drive too aggressively because of his knee, so if he can’t shoot well it will hurt his game dramatically. Sprains take a couple of days to get better, so it looks like Caron will have to step up his game if the Wizards are going to overcome this.

I'm not too worried.
I’m trying not to get all flustered with what’s coming out in the media now. That being said, I think that Gil will find a way to contribute positively to the team tonight. Whether he finds a way to shoot comfortably, facilitates others more or just flat out hustles on defense he will make an imprint on this game. I’m not thinking negatively so I won’t go down the other road.
What also needs to happen is that Caron, Roger, Andray and Darius need to contribute in the scoring department. DeShawn’s help would be nice, but I’d rather him spend his energy on the defensive side of the ball.

I agree about deshawn
But he does need to hit his open threes. He had been doing that for most of the year but was atrocious on saturday even when open. If he starts hitting those it spreads the floor a lot and gives more of a chance for our big three to make plays.

Big Z is a PUNK
“Watcha you Doin?”
I was trying to figure out why Twan and Butler were so furious during the Haywood/Lebron skirmish. Every player from both teams tried to diffuse the situation by acting as a peacemaker except for Ilgauskas.
Punk Z ran to the huddle at half court , yelling at Haywood and fighting his way through players.
This infuriated Twan and Butler, causing Bulter to keep yelling “watcha you doing” about 3 times to Punk Z. I believe this is why Twan got Td up too.
Of course, NO one in the media seem to pick up on this at all.
I have no idea what Punk Z’s problem is or why he thinks he is so tough. Dude gets every foul call he wants down low so he should be happy playing the Wizards.
This game was a missed opportunity by the Wizards.
Deshawn/Mason need to hit open looks, Butler needs to drive more, Twan needs to rely on the floater, Gil needs to ignite the fast break offense, and somehow the Wizards need to overcome the obvious refs touch call blow jobbing of Lebron James and his teammates. No way the Cavs should ever have 20 more free throws than the Wiz.
With all of that said, the Wizards did not deserve to win that game and going ice cold down the stretch crushed them.
Game 2 is a must.

Ivan Carter kinda picked up the thing on Z
I swore for a second that Caron Butler and Zydrunas Ilgauskas were about to throw down.[Wizards Insider]
And of course, there was his elbow that changed course of the playoffs.

Why?
Why does everyone keep getting injured when we need them so badly? I don’t know how bad Gil is but I’m about to cry. We have to win tonigh.
