Question Ideas

Alright boys and girls, I just got contacted about an opportunity to do a little Q&A with an ESPN Radio personality.  I'm keeping this on the FanPosts because while I'm excited, I don't want to jinx this rare opportunity.  I have the choice of interviewing either Colin Cowherd, Mike Tirico, Steve Mason, or Dave Dameshek.

What I want to know from you is which person do you think I should interview, and what questions would you like to have asked.  Obviously we want to keep the questions sports related and hopefully have some of them be Wizards related, but other than that, it's pretty wide open.

Your input (just like any other time) is extremely valuable here.

Yo! This represents the view of the user who wrote the FanPost, and not the entire Bullets Forever community. We're a place of many opinions, not just one.

Awesome!

This is very exciting news! Congratulations Jake! Well, I’m not a big ESPN radio fan so I would recommend interviewing Mike Tirico purely on name factor. However, I’m sure you’ll chose the personality you’d most like to interview.

Definitely would like to address why the national media doesn’t like to discuss the Wizards more in print.

Also, being a Cardinals fan I’d like to know their reactions to their hot start and where they see them fading, if at all.

I hate Cowherd

so i pray you don’t choose him… here are a couple questions I’d ask (from my longing to be a journalist lol)

I’d vote for Tirico as well by the way-

1) What is your take on Stern’s, Schultz’s and Bennett’s roles in the Sonics to Oklahoma City debacle?

2) How feasible is it for a European city to earn an expansion team and what is the pulse of the players on this?

3) How much veto power do various personalities have over style-over-substance storylines?

4) How does being a national TV personality affect his ability to ‘loosen the tie’ on his radio shows?

Those are mine for now, I’ll add more later.

G’luck- hope everything comes through for you.

I'd also vote for Tirico

He is just a classy guy. Knowledge is always on point and I’ve found his analysis to be very fair.

Who does like “The Herd”?

Speaking of Tirico….I suppose his ‘92 sexual harassment deal would be off the books.

KDP really has some great questions. I would add:

Travel is seemingly much easier “these days” and with Stern’s investigation into European expansion, would it be better to just have one big NBA (with divisions of course, just not conferences) and then you could take the best 16 overall teams?

I’d be curious to what affect such a move would have on television ratings. Seems like the media would have a significant say in the process.

And the NBA draft….does the process need to be tweaked? There wasn’t much talk of tanking this year, but is the lottery system working?

Personally, I won’t fault bad teams for resting possibly injured good players and developing the younger ones for next year….many fans don’t have much foresight. But is there any way to keep games more competitive towards the end of the season?

Very cool Jake….good luck.

Tirico, too.

I agree with everyone. I can’t stand Cowherd. I’m not sure why he has a show.

I’d like to know what Tirico thinks about the Wizards’ playoff chances and what he thinks is going to happen with Gilbert and Antawn in the offseason.

Also, the Sonics – I still hate the fact that they are leaving a loving fanbase – what does he think?

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I’m never really done a Q&A like this before so your help is very appreciated.

Gotta go Tirico too

Which opens it up for all kinds of questions about Kornheiser, his MNF boothmate.

(Also, Tony’s become more open-minded on blogs, after the infamous “cheese-boy” incident—would be interesing if Tirico ever saw him reading one/talked about blogs with him. Guessing the answer’s “no,” but you never know…)

Good to know, Jake. Looking forward to the results.
