In case you didn't see it last night, Truth has Chris Millers interview with Pamela McGee, JaVale's mom. It's a must-see for a lot of reasons, but without a doubt the best part is Chris Miller trying to not look intimidated by Pamela the whole time.

Still growing?

He was measured at the NBA Pre-Draft camp at 6’11" with no shoes on. That camp was held in June, THIS YEAR.

So she’s saying that JaVale grew 2 inches in the last 6-months?

Say that he was going through a growth spurt. However I didn’t know you could have a growth spurt at his age. Not that he’s old (20 y.o.) but it’s kind of unusual for someone in the NBA to go through a growth spurt.

Actually

Many men don’t stop growing until they are 21 – so it’s definitely not unusual. (Woman stop growing by 18 – don’t ask me how I know this). A large number of the guys drafted straight out of highschool added an inch or two in the NBA.

Getting buckets since 2003.
