Blogger Q&A: Forum Blue & Gold - LA Lakers Blog
The Lake Show is in DC tonight, and I'm afraid that Laker Nation posers will be dominating the Verizon Center. I've been called a Laker-Hater in the past, and yes, this fact forced me to root for another team I dislike, Boston, in last year's Finals (just like the damn Super Bowl when I had to root for the Giants over the Patriots). Oh well, what's a sports fan to do?
It is what it is. Thankfully, someone who is a real Lakers fan, Kurt from the Forum Blue & Gold, has been kind enough to take time to answer some questions I had about his team. Read on.....

I sold my ticket -
Because of the obnoxious Laker fans. Cannot stand to be around them. They will be taking over Verizon tonight. I’ve also seen Kobe play enough to last a lifetime. I too was rooting for the Celtics to win not that I particularly like them – lesser of two evils.

Let's Shock Laker Nation
I’m not so much a Laker Hater as I am a Kobe-Hater and a Fair-Weather-Fan-Hater. I guess that makes me a Laker-Fan-Hater, or at least most of them.
I’ve seen the Lakers a few times this year, and they are in a completely different league than we are. Any basketball fan can predict that they will dominate us in just about every aspect of tonight’s game. This is the best team I’ve seen in awhile. I’ll have to watch them more to make a more reasoned judgment, but I didn’t think the Celtics were that good until the Finals last year. Seeing them struggle on the road in the Playoffs, seeing them struggle against us during the season…
BUT, you know what? I have this little inkling of completely irrational hope about tonight. The only reason is because the Wiz have shocked me in the past, both positively and negatively. Last couple of seasons, I’ve seen the Wiz lose games they’re supposed to win, and win games they’re supposed to lose. This year? They just lose all games.
Like I said, it’s just a little inkling of completely irrational hope. I fully expect to see them dominated, but how great would it be….
Let’s Shock Laker Nation. Hell, it’d shock the entire nation.

Long story-
about being a former Laker’s fan. But I’ll sum up in one word – arrogance.

I dislike the Lakers
But I’ve always been a Kobe fan and I rooted for the Lakers against the Celtics last year and will do the same last year. I loathe the Celtics!
And truth about it are you a Redskin fan? Because if you are and you rooted for the G-Men last year, you should turn in your fan card immediately ;-)

I'm a Redskins fan...
and I was rooting for the Patriots all the way. Ugh and yuck to the G-men.
