"I watch the games with my son Jackson and we cheer every time they make a shot. I'm pulling for them and wish them the best."
It's nice to see that Eddie Jordan has no hard feelings towards the Wizards. I think I can speak for most Wizards fans when I say that regardless of how his tenure in Washington ended, that we wish him the best in the future. I get the feeling that it won't be long until he's coaching again.

Good article
I hope Eddie winds up with a Western Conference team so I get to root for his teams more often than not.

I agree
I, for one, will always cheer for Eddie Jordan (unless he’s facing the Wizards, I guess). His name should be Alec Guiness, because he’s Genuine Class.

What’s the best fit for him out there?

Good for him
Does anyone think he’s likely to replace Sam Mitchell in Toronto?

With Jermaine O'neal?
how many injury ridden teams can this guy coach?

Haha, that’s funny. I can just picture Eddie Jordan’s face after hearing the news of a Jermaine injury … ouch.
Interesting job though. Chris Bosh, Jose Calderon, Jermaine, Bargnani and some solid role players with a load of cap space on the horizon (2010). Coaching for an offensive minded GM who likes his team to push the ball.

Why Did They Fire Sam Mitchell?
I’m curious. It seems like Bryan Colangelo fired the guy because of one bad game against the Nuggets. He was Coach of the Year two seasons ago, and brought a team with very limited playoff experience into the playoffs twice. He was also coaching without one of his starters (Jermaine O’Neal). If Eddie deserved more slack after 1-10, shouldn’t have Mitchell gotten more after 8-9?
As for Eddie Jordan, he could probably do a decent job there. Toronto’s defense is 25th this season, so he wouldn’t be blamed if that did not get any better. And he could certainly improve on that 17th ranked offense.

Colangelo never liked him.
Mitchell was in kind of an Eddie Jordan situation – lame duck coach with a new GM. I think Mitchell got fired unfairly. He’s being punished for his crappy roster.

He also had a reputation as a questionable Xs and Os guy. He was mostly there as a motivator, I think, and when the team stopped being motivated, it was time to pull him.
I, too, would be interested to see what EJ’s offense could do for a guy like Bargnani.

Eddie's still OK with me...
… but Toronto isn’t the place for him. I see him in New Orleans when (not if) they sack Brian Scott.

NO?
New Orleans running the Princeton ?
That would be scary… a Chris Paul, David West, Tyson Chandler lay up and dunk drill.

They already run a lot of Princeton sets with Paul on the bench

Philly
If Philly continues to play below their talent level, Mo Cheeks could be gone…Because, let’s face it, the expectations are very high in Philly after the Brand trade.
The 76’ers job would be perfect for Jordan… They’ve got a good PG… good wings and a beast down low. Good defensive Center. Plus they love to run and are very athletic. They have better defensive players than Eddie’s ever had before. I can see that roster running the Princeton. They’re still one or two veteran pieces from contending, but they’re close.

But nobody on Philly can shoot
And save for Andre Miller, nobody’s an ace passer either.
I can’t imagine Elton Brand playing the Princeton.

My feeling is Minnesota
Imagine Kevin Love’s passing skills in the high post. That could also rejuvenate Randy Foye, who Minnesota keeps trying to turn into a pure point guard. Mike Miller can also score from anywhere on the court, so I imagine that’ll help his game.

Eddie's going to
the Thunder. Hopefully he’ll be kind enough as a Washingtonian as to not join a team in the Eastern Conference.
