A source close to the situation insisted Friday that the plan remains for Arenas to return the court in the near future -- not unlike Elton Brand's comeback with the Clippers late last season from an Achilles' tear with no hope of getting to the postseason -- in spite of where the Wiz are in the standings and the obvious long-term concerns about Arenas being healthy enough to live up to his contract.

This is petty -
But as a season ticket holder, I will be really mad if he is healthy and doesn’t play. I deserve better for being a supporter of this team and paying good money to watch everyone play especially our superstar.
That's not petty at all
Totally reasonable.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
I'm not even a season ticket holder....
And I think the wiz owe it to me as well to put gil on the floor if he’s healthy. The team is embarassing right now, and regardless of what kind of money i spend on the team (tickets, gear, etc…) they owe it to me for my support to put out the best team possible and try to win games. I’m a reasonable person, i understand we’re not going to make the playoffs, i understand that we’re going to have down years (or decades as the case may be), but to tank intentionally by not putting out healthy players is insulting.
