Whatever happened to the DeShawn Stevenson hamstring nerve injury?
Just came across note of it from about half the season ago....could he still be dealing with this, or something?....might it be explanation for his shoddy play?
I'm just reaching for something in this season of confusion, disappointment and uncertainness.

It is Possible
DeShawn is clearly not the player he was last season, that is for sure. I would believe anything about this, at this point.

Back when it was first reported
Eddie said it was going to affect him for “”http://www.bulletsforever.com/2008/11/19/665033/it-s-going-to-be-botherin" >a long time". I’m not medical expert but I know getting in the defensive stance puts a lot of weight on your legs and if your hamstring is acting up it’s probably harder to get the same lift when you go up for a jumper. We all know DeShawn is the kind of guy that will play through pain so I think that there’s a good chance this is having more of an effect on his game this season than having to take on more point guard duties of going through an unnatural funk.
I’ve got a lot of respect for his toughness but sometimes you can help your team more by not playing (or maybe just playing less minutes) rather than playing injured.

What I Worry About...
… is that DeShawn plays with pain but doesn’t tell anybody. So the team says he’s healthy, but in reality he’s hiding an injury because he doesn’t want the coach to use that as an excuse to bench him. If he’s hurt, he needs to let people know so that he can get treated correctly and return to 100% health.
Sometimes I get the feeling that he goes through a season at like 75%, but nobody knows except him.
