Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Yep, the date on that first post says Dec. 11, 2006. That means this site has been around for two full years now. In that time there's been 1500+ posts, over 20,000 comments, over 300 FanPosts, over 400 FanShots, and one dunk campaign (T-Shirts for obscure internet campaigns make lovely gifts for the holiday season, by the way).

To everyone that's made the last two years awesome, we say thank you. To celebrate the site's birthday, Prada, Truth, and I all got Twitter accounts. So if you're into that kind of stuff, you can find us there.

I wish it hadn't taken so long for me to find you

And here’s to another two good years. By that anniversary the Wizards will be renamed the Bullets and they will off to a flying start on their way to an NBA Finals appearance, complete with a redigitzed Bullets Fever song from Nils Lofgren.

Bullets Fever rap?

Maybe from Kayne?

As long as its not Jay-Z…

Congrats

I hope you’re around for 20 more years – or at least until the Wizards change their name back to the Bullets….

Then, I’ll look forward to coming to Wizardsforever.com for my Bullets news.

For the Record

I strongly object to ever naming this site “Wizards Forever”. If this team ever changes its name back to the Bullets, then I suggest renaming the site “Wizards Never Again”.

Funny story

The site was supposed to be called “Bullets Fever,” but the SB Nation guys misread my e-mail and started building this site with this domain before I realized it.

It Worked Out Perfectly, IMO

Bullets Forever is a great name.
