wondering why this play wasn’t in the NBA top 10

Eddie Jordan likes to shoot dogs, doesn't he?!

I agree. Caron’s dunk got top 10 in SportsCenter but I think this was better.

But not really a windmill like Buckhantz said, no?

Me likey

That play and the fastbreak dunk he had a little later (he was FLYING down the court) have me optimistic that he can produce some points even without much of an advanced offensive game (it’d be nice if he hit his FTs). Plus he showed a nice touch on turnarounds in a few preseason games. I am becoming more and more optimistic about McGee.

"Now, obviously individual production does not unilaterally equal better team production, but there's a high level of causation."

Hugely optimistic

With that sort of speed and agility, the guy can learn some post moves and work on his shot with Hopla and become an absolute force in this league. That was basically the superman dunk, in terms of how high he got and his actually not having to reach the basket.

…And that raises an interesting point about the draft. Maybe, if Dwight Howard had been a college freshman, he would have put up Oden-esque stats and gone #1. But as I recall it, when they picked him out of high school they were basically drafting size and potential (same as we did with Kwame). If JaVale had been able to enter the draft in high school, with so much less tape available on his existing weaknesses (goes for the block every time, not a banger at all, little shooting touch), how high would he have gone?

The more I see of the guy, the more I like him.
