Arenas was ready to return to Warriors

Yuck
Why is he fucking around with this again? Does he not learn anything from the past? Look what happened last time and the time before that. Both times, he came back too fast and ended up tweaking his knee. Gilbert promised us to cut out the foolishness in the summer but it looks like that’s not happening. We need more maturity out of our 111 million dollar franchise player and while I’m sure he’s excited to get back and help right the course, he’s still our future for the next six years and can’t risk injuring himself permanently.

I really wish I could delete this before anyone else saw.
My mistake for misunderstanding the quote. I thought he was saying that he was ready to come back and play last night against the warriors. Oops!

I almost deleted it for you....
But said ‘nah’, you still may be able to copy and paste this somewhere in the future.

The idea about being a franchise player and acting immature is still relevant
This is not what I want to hear from a guy that was just given 111 million dollars.

Gilbert...
is acting like Gilbert again, I like the quirky act but he needs a bit of maturity if he wants to be a relevant superstar again.

This is disturbing
There is absolutely no point to this rant of his. Especially under the circumstances of the team. Sure, Gil, we all know you want to be valued, but that wasn’t the case. There was no lowball. So why would you even go back to your contract situation? I don’t understand. Am I missing something?

Blech
I think he was asked about it and he answered truthfully. Would it have been nice for him to say nothing? Yeah, sure. But remember, this is quoted in a San Francisco paper, so he was probably prompted.
I wouldn’t make too much of it, but yeah, he probably should have not mentioned anything. I bet this will get dealt with in house like his tanking comments.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.

Exactly.....
Gil will just be Gil and he’ll talk anytime a microphone is shoved in his face. The media will always love him for his candidness, and fans/coaches/team personnel will always walk the fine line between enlightenly entertainmented and frustrated.
I’m becoming more and more used to these facts, so something like this isn’t worth getting too concerned about….because around the corner, he may say something really stupid that gives me fuel for a tangent .
