Open Thread: Regular Season Game 6 vs. Utah Jazz

Utah Jazz at Washington Wizards, Nov 12, 2008 8:00 PM EST

UPDATE: AD's going to play and start.  Mehmet Okur is out for the Jazz.

UPDATE 2: Game's on Comcast+, which is either Channel 6 or 8.  The Caps game is on CSN.  Thanks to Truth for the heads up.

0-6?  Let's hope not, but I've got a bad feeling.  It's good that Utah's on the second game of a back-to-back, though.

I have a meeting at 9, but otherwise, I'm around.

GO WIZARDS!

"That's the antithesis of tough juice."

Yeah

I think Vince Carter is the antithesis of Tough Juice

McGee beat there

He needs to learn not to go for jabs and pump fakes – but that’s not a knock on a young rook like him. When he gets that fixed he’ll be a tough tough defender

I wish he would mix it up a bit.

I know he has a good jumper but he needs to pump and drive more to keep defenders honest. I think he’s a little too excited coming in off the bench – I really think he’d be better as a starter.

PG Arenas*/Stevenson/Daniels/Dixon/Brown
SG Butler/ Young/ Stevenson/ Dixon/ McGuire
SF Jamison/Blatche/Butler/McGuire

Wiz D

The Wizards are just a better team when JaVale McGee and Nick Young are playing with Butler and Jamison….

It really doesn’t matter who plays PG, Stevenson, Daniels or Dixon…. When that four is in the game, the Wiz are usually playing very well -

AND – How about some D from Nick Young tonight!! Blocked 2 perimeter shots tonight …. chased Kyle Korver and Miles around screens all night (Korver shot 3-9 , Miles was 5-9)… He got hung up on a couple of screens, and was out of position twice, but I think it’s officially time we stopped calling Nick a “bad defender”…. I think he’s graduated to mediocre.
