Arenas in November?
Editor's Note: Bumped from the FanPosts. I'm with ICFMF here. -PM
From the Post today:
Arenas said Wednesday that he is "a lot ahead of schedule," and could return in late November. Jordan said the team will remain cautious with Arenas, who signed a six-year, $111 million contract in July. "Gil's gone down this road before. He's tried to really enhance his rehabilitation on his own in previous surgeries," Jordan said. "But now he knows he has to be diligent, he has to be disciplined and follow the advice of the trainers and the doctors and he's done that."
My take is to not read much into it. With Arenas, as always, you have to take his words with a grain of salt. He speaks stream-of-consciousness and his words are not always grounded in reality. Along with Jordan's words of caution and the still-fresh memories of Gil doing too much too soon last Fall, I would bank on a Dec/Jan return.

I'm with EJ, but...
I’m glad to see those words from Jordan, but the question will be what happens if the team struggle early, as it’s had a tendency to do. If that happens, there’s likely to be a lot of pressure on both Jordan and Arenas (and likely some pressure from Arenas) to push it and come back early. Hopefully, they’ll both resist.

Is there an echo in here?
Gil needs to sit and get healthy. Seriously. I want to make a Nike commercial with him sitting. “Just Do It.”
