McGuire is not a big fan of Pecherov's skills as a language teacher. When McGuire asked Pecherov, who speaks several languages, how to say: "Hello, how are you?" in German, Pecherov tried to teach him the Russian version.
"That doesn't do me any good here, Pech!" McGuire said. "We're in Germany, man!"

Wizards Notes
Did you catch this part of the article way down in the Wizards Notes section (emphasis mine)?
Guard Juan Dixon participated in a few drills but is still bothered by a bad right calf muscle and his status for Tuesday night’s game will be determined after the morning shoot-around. Dixon, whose spot on the roster is all but guaranteed, was kicked in the calf during practice on Oct. 4 and has not played in the preseason. . . .
???
How can he be “all but guaranteed”???
He has a partially guaranteed contract – IF he makes the club..
Dermarr Johnson clearly outplayed Juan in Training Camp
Dermarr is averaging 7.7ppg, 2 rpg, 1bpg and 1.3 spg
Juan is averaging – – – – – – – – – – oh yeah, he has not played!!!
Juan can shoot (sometimes) and will bring scoring off the bench (sometimes)..
Dermarr can also shoot – and bring scoring – but on a more consistent basis. He can also rebound, block shots, play both the SF and SG positions, and he’s 6’9"….
I’m not sure how Ivan can say Juan is all but guaranteed – I think the roster decision is a lot closer than that.
If it were my decision, I’d pick Dermarr.
Mcguire should ask
WHERE CAN I GET A CRACK OF COCAIN IN BERLIN!
