Heh
Not mentioned in that list of awful long-term contracts the Bucks are carrying (in the Charlie Bell-is-bad link) is that they offered Etan the same deal we've all been griping about for a couple years, but the Wiz saved Milwaukee from itself by matching.

With regard to Charlie Bell being bad, I remember poor Jacque Vaughn starting out a season long ago as the starting PG for a bad Atlanta team (is that redundant since the Nique ere?) and carrying an 0-fer into at least the sixth game of the season. It's not to late for Bell to snap out of it. Heck, maybe Miami's even still interested, considering their Smush Parker situation.

Wow
I went back and looked it up. Vaughn started the 2001 season 0-for-22, which appears to be an NBA record. He finished the season shooting .470 from the floor, .444 from three and .825 from the line, while averaging career highs in points, assists and rebounds. That's a pretty good indication of why Vaughn has lasted 11 seasons in the league despite his marginal talent. Maybe Charlie Bell ought to have a little chat with Jacque.

I remember seeing that on SC
They showed this montage of all the shots he'd missed up to that point (including a couple of ugly airballs) and then when he finally made a shot they had this whole elaborate celebration.  It was something to behold.  I was going to use this moment to make fun of Michael Ruffin's shooting percentage compared to Charlie Bell, but he's shooting 71% from the field (!!).
